Business Intelligence Analyst

Icon Media Direct is looking for a candidate to help grow our analytics capabilities and insights for our client campaigns. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work to develop and enhance our client analytics services, including media attribution systems, reporting and analysis, testing methodologies, forecasting, and dashboard development. The Analyst will be responsible for developing solutions for our clients and establishing processes, as well as measurement protocols, focusing on the analytical insights which show cause and effect for our TV, Print, and Digital media campaigns for direct sales and retail. Responsibilities include oversight and continued advancement of Icon’s proprietary attribution system for evaluating media performance.  Additionally, the Analyst will create new reports to drive valuable insights, and recommendations utilizing advanced statistical analysis to help optimize and identify opportunities for our clients’ growth.

Job Duties:

  • Participate in the development of Icon’s proprietary media attribution system – Icon WebTraxx®
  • Develop enhanced algorithms for Icon WebTraxx® based on statistical analysis (including regression analysis and probability curves)
  • Create regression analysis and correlation reports for our drive to retail accounts
  • Work with SQL developers as needed
  • Develop results reporting dashboards for internal review and external client reports
  • Consolidate data sources for one unified reporting function (Nielsen, Core, Client Web Data)
  • Build confidence and trust of clients from the non-technical to data scientists when speaking about Icon’s analytical techniques/methodologies and be comfortable and articulate in presenting such concepts and results to clients
  • Drive the identification, creation and adoption of new performance metrics
  • Analyze clients’ historical sales for the creation of predictive models that forecast performance
  • Perform time series analyses and forecasts based on seasonality, trend, and cyclicality
  • Provides statistical guidance such as statistical viability on client media tests and campaign results
  • Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches, identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic techniques
  • Works in conjunction with IS team introducing new ideas and methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant, professional work experience in an agency or marketing environment
  • Proficiency in SAS strongly preferred
  • Experience with statistical software tools such as R or Python a plus, but not necessary
  • Microsoft Office 2010 & 2013 proficiency (Word, Excel: Advanced Level including pivot tables & charts, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
  • Experience with advanced analytic techniques, such as multivariate regression analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis, response prediction, and ROI measurement
  • Strong understanding of Time-Series modeling including panel data modeling
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B and Multivariate tests to measure performance
  • Data manipulation – experience analyzing large volumes of data and developing a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required
  • Project Planning Experience– capable of planning and managing analytical components of projects to ensure deadlines are met
