Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics

This primary responsibility of the Director is to lead Icon Media Direct’s analytics services, including media attribution systems, reporting and analysis, testing methodologies, forecasting and dashboard development. The Director will be responsible for developing solutions to unique client challenges and establishing processes and measurement protocols. Responsibilities include oversight and continued advancement of Icon’s proprietary attribution system for evaluating media performance and developing new methodologies. Additionally, the Director will lead a team of motivated professionals and set standards for their continuous growth.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the development and advancement of analytics and business intelligence systems and processes
  • Leverage data science tools and techniques to analyze large data sets and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights
  • Manage development of Icon’s proprietary media attribution system, WebTraxx 
  • Lead development and growth of analytics team 
  • Improve reporting efficiency and standardization 
  • Build and manage data sets for reporting integration, dashboards, data visualization, data mining, and predictive analytics
  • Develop results dashboards for internal review and external client reporting
  • Build confidence and trust with clients, from non-technical executives to data scientists, speaking about Icon’s analytical techniques/methodologies.  Must be comfortable and articulate presenting complex concepts and results to clients in an easily understandable way
  • Drive the identification, creation and adoption of new performance metrics
  • Constantly monitor data science trends, emerging tools and technologies to continually improving frameworks, processes and best practices for predictive models and the WebTraxx system 
  • Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches, identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic techniques. Present data and analysis clearly and articulately to all levels of the organization
  • Actively collaborate with Information Systems and IT teams
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in an easily understandable way 
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and time management skills to deliver high quality work for multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly-changing entrepreneurial environment
  • Innovative and able to develop new analytical solutions to business challenges

  • Demonstrated flexibility in job responsibilities

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline preferred
  • A minimum 5 years of relevant, professional work experience in an agency or marketing environment. Deep expertise in complex modeling and analytical methodology
  • Experience with statistical software tools such as SAS, Stata, or SPSS
  • Advanced fluency with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting
  • Experience with data visualization tool, such as Tableau
  • Experience with advanced analytic techniques, such as multivariate regression analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis, response prediction and ROI measurement
  • Strong experience with Data manipulation and analyzing large volumes of data 
  • Solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required
  • Experience with planning and executing projects, managing analytical components to ensure deadlines are met
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
