Recruiter / Talent Acquisition



Are you are a self-starter who loves to engage with new people, build relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting responsibilities?  Icon Media Direct is looking for a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition professional with full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring top talent to help take us into our next phase of growth.

The Recruiter will work within our HR Department and will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying and the timely placement of candidates on contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire job placements. The position also includes some administrative duties as it relates to recruiting as well as broader HR department needs. 

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, strategic and possess strong written, verbal and analytical skills, as well as a proven track record of success.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Develop effective hiring strategies and outreach programs to fill critical roles andidentify key hiring sources that will result in a pipeline of talent
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop a detailed understanding of position criteria and requirements, establish interview teams, and identify recruiting sources to target qualified candidates to successfully fill each position
  • Develop deep understanding of our industry, including our competitors, so as to professionally and actively target potential candidates
  • Write compelling job postings and candidate communication materials to attract passive candidates
  • Coordinate and manage candidate screening, scheduling, interviewing, and background and reference checks
  • Help communicate and market our strong branding position as an employer of choice
  • Manage external recruiters and limit the need to use their services through internal efforts to recruit top talent
  • Maximize our employee referral program
  • Participate in department team meetings; learn and understand our business and staffing requirements
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations Assist in the administration, development and implementation of various HR personnel policies, procedures and projects
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


  • A considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources
  • A proven track record of successfully using a variety of recruiting technology and digital sourcing techniques
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to nurture relationships with both managers and prospective employees
  • Working understanding of CA and Federal employment laws
  • A proven professional with a natural ability to be diplomatic and confidential
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Organized with the ability to successfully prioritize multiple responsibilities

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field
  • LinkedIn Recruiter Certification or experience with platform a plus
  • 2+ years experience successfully recruiting for a variety of positions
  • 2-6 years of Human Resources and recruiting experience
  • Microsoft Office suite at an advanced level
