Senior Analytics Manager

Icon Media Direct is seeking a Senior Analytics Manager to join our Data Intelligence team, reporting to the VP of Analytics. This role will act as the bridge between client-facing teams and our centralized data engineering & data science hub. This role is responsible for translating client needs into analytics solutions, conducting analytics towards actionable data insights, effectively communicating these insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders on both the client and internal sides, maintaining best practices in reporting and analytics, and ensuring tight integration between client-facing and central data teams to uphold data quality, consistency, and efficiency. Success in this role will balance proactive client partnership, operational excellence, and data alignment.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and highly business savvy, an effective communicator to both technical and business audiences, a creative problem solver, and comfortable with navigating situations that are sometimes ambiguous and fast-paced, with a passion for data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Performance of Linear TV, CTV and Digital Marketing Campaigns
  • Evaluate the performance of Linear TV, CTV and Digital Marketing campaigns to understand how advertising is driving business outcomes for clients
  • Leverage various measurement tools available, including statistical time-series analysis, MTA, and lift studies to produce impactful insights
  • Make data-driven recommendations to drive media optimizations.
  • Client Services Partnership
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for the Client Services team on owned client accounts, providing consultative support on campaign performance, audience trends, and strategic insights.
  • Manage Analytics projects and team members in developing client-ready analyses and dashboards that drive towards impactful action and insights.
  • Own communication of analytics subject matter to clients, working across technical and business teams to translate data to clear stories and narratives, ensuring successful comprehension by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and delivery of ad-hoc and recurring analytics requests, ensuring alignment with established SLAs and business value.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality analytics outputs and proactively address any risks to deliverables.
  • Tableau Environment Ownership & Content Management
  • Serve as the Tableau environment owner, ensuring dashboards and reports are properly published, maintained, and aligned with centralized data sources.
  • Oversee dashboard lifecycle management including version control, archiving, and timely updates to reflect data schema changes, campaign evolutions, or client needs.
  • Collaborate with the central Data Engineering team to troubleshoot data connectivity, refresh schedules, and performance optimization issues within Tableau.
  • Define and enforce dashboard governance protocols, including user permissions, naming conventions, visual standards, and certified content designation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting through dashboard consolidation, modular design, and automation to increase scalability and reduce manual effort.
  • Provide ongoing training, documentation, and enablement to Client Services and other business users to promote adoption and self-service of Tableau assets.
  • Collaboration with Central Data Intelligence Hub
  • Drive tight alignment with central data science and engineering teams on collaborative efforts
  • Act as “voice of the client” on collaborative efforts and ensure proper translation of non-technical business needs to technical data science and engineering requirements
  • Own quality and timeliness of outputs, ensuring that deliverables successfully achieve desired business requirements, while balancing appropriate prioritization with other competing needs
  • Process Improvement & Enablement
  • Drive continuous improvement in the analytics request process, SLA management, and reporting workflows.
  • Partner with Client Services to upskill their teams in data literacy, dashboard self-service, and effective analytics request practices.
  • Identify opportunities for reporting automation and reusable dashboards to increase team efficiency.
  • Responsible for any additional tasks or responsibilities that may arise in support of the role’s objectives.

 

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Statistical knowledge on probability distributions, hypothesis testing, time series models and analysis.
  • Proficient in querying databases (SQL) and strong understanding of relational database.
  • Proficiency in Tableau (or other data visualization tools).
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, chart functions).
  • Proficiency in analytics software tools and coding languages (Python, R, or SAS).
  • Working knowledge of Cloud data environments (AWS, Snowflake).
  • Must have ability to utilize and collaborate with productivity tools (Jira, Confluence, Monday.com)
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas and strategy to both external and internal clients.
  • Must have ability to present and communicate outcomes through PowerPoint and data visualization tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, data insights, or data strategy roles
  • Experience in marketing analytics or media agency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with data manipulation and analysis.
