Sr. Account Strategist

Icon Media Direct is seeking a Senior Account Strategist who must have experience with regulated industries like healthcare, to lead strategic media initiatives across national television and connected TV (CTV). This role is ideal for a seasoned media strategist who excels at translating performance data into actionable insights and guiding clients toward measurable growth.

As a strategic partner to both clients and internal teams, the Senior Account Strategist will lead the development of media strategies, performance analyses, and long-term planning efforts.  This position emphasizes strategic thinking, category expertise, and thought leadership, particularly valuable in complex or regulated industries like healthcare.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Research category trends and market developments to inform proactive strategies, with particular focus on regulated industries like healthcare.
  • Analyze campaign performance and develop insightful reports to identify insights and recommend strategic optimizations.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to improve campaign ROI and support client growth objectives.
  • Create and maintain strategic roadmaps, POV documents, and internal recommendations that guide client campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers and other internal teams to align strategy with execution.
  • Support RFP and new business efforts by developing category insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Inspire a culture of strategic thinking across teams; mentor junior staff on interpreting performance data.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading senior-level conversations around brand growth, audience engagement, and media optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, reporting efficiencies, and analytical capabilities.
  • Participate in internal meetings and planning sessions to challenge assumptions and propose new approaches.
  • Other strategic or media planning and operational responsibilities as business needs dictate.

 

Minimum Job Requirements include:

  • Experience working with regulated industries like healthcare.
  • 5–10 years in client services, account management, or media management at an advertising/media agency.
  • Proven track record managing national TV and CTV/OTT campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client management and presentation delivery.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare or regulated industries is important.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
